Wedding Planning Tips 10

DJ saves your wedding.....budget
Hey Mr. DJ put the music on, I want to dance with..... Enough said about the wedding band, ever consider getting a DJ instead of a wedding singer? It helps cut the wedding budget and it can be a good alternative to a live band. Nowadays, getting a DJ to spin in a wedding is not new and it don't look cheap either. Check with them on the playing list. It is good to tell them your wedding theme, as they may have come across a similar wedding theme from a recent wedding and gave you some advise. Ask some questions similar to those you will ask a wedding singer. What will they wear or what do you expect them to wear on your wedding? I am sure you will not want a DJ appear in leather jacket and some gold chain on their neck, unless your wedding theme is Disco Night.

Planning your wedding musicians movements is part of your job. As how many wedding musicians you hire totally depends on your wedding budget. If you have 2 or 3 musicians, you can't have each of them in reception, cocktail and weddings. The musicians got to be together to make music, that is why they have to move nicely from one location o the next.

Unless you have enough wedding budget to cover all the places with musicians or you are going to let the musicians know your timing. Remember that they need time to set up their equipment, give them a buffer like 20 minutes at least. Another way to correct this situation is to ask the wedding musicians whether they have any back up equipments, so you can set them up in both places, all the musicians have to do is walk to the next venue; your logistics can pack up the previous ones and start moving and set them up for the next venue for the wedding musicians. If you hire a wedding DJ, it will be a lot easier, all the wedding DJ needs to do is to switch the knob on his console to direct the music from the reception to the cocktail then to wedding.
