Choosing best wedding cake design
Ordering the wedding cake also falls into the duty of a planner, you will need to decide on how many tiers you want for your wedding cake and which is the best wedding cake design you have chosen from the vast myriad of cakes you have seen in your life?

Doing some research on wedding magazines may help you along with your decision. Is the wedding cake going to be displayed outdoors or indoors? What is the season at that point of time? The 2 questions mentioned above is important as this will decide on the ingredients of the cake. A hot summer outdoor will most definitely melt a beautiful wedding cake if the ingredients of the cake are meant for indoors.

Wedding flower decorations
Flower arrangements will be another highlight of the wedding. Are you going to arrange the flowers yourself? How good are you at it? Do you have the time and effort to do it? As a florist myself, flower arrangements is never an easy task, it is not as simple as it seems to be. Flower arrangements requires a lot of creativity and hard work, and you need to purchase a lot of materials besides just flowers. If you are really thinking of decorating and arranging the flowers yourself, I will recommend you not to do it. Hire a well reputated florist that has handled wedding task before or ask your caterer for some recommendations.

Indoor outdoor wedding?
You will also need to draw out a floorplan of your wedding venue. It takes some experience to allocate rooms for certain functions. You need to find out how big your plan is in order to better facilitate the purpose of the rooms. Where will your guests sit or mingle? Where will your musicians be? How about the speakers?

Will there be enough room to receive your guests? How long will your buffet spread be? Where will your wedding cake be displayed? All these questions need to be answered and planned in advance so that you will know how many chairs, tables and marquees needs to be rented?

Then you need to decide how long your wedding reception will take? You need to consider that some of the guests has traveled some distance and may need to rest early. Majority of the age of the guests will also help you decide how long will the wedding reception takes. With all the mentioned answered, you can now decide whether to hold the wedding reception at home, indoor or outdoors, or at a hotel ballroom.
