Civil wedding vows ceremony
Today we will continue and touch more on the wedding vows performed in a civil wedding ceremony.

Bridegroom

“I do solemnly declare that I know not of any lawful impediment why I, XXXXX, may not be joined in matrimony to YYYYY”

or

“I, declare that I know of no legal reason why I, XXXXX, may not joined in marriage to YYYYY”
“Are you, YYYYY, free lawfully to marry XXXXX?”

Then the wedding couple has to recite once to each other,

“I call upon these persons here present to witness that I, XXXXX, do take thee, YYYYY, to be my lawful wedded wife/husband”.

or

“I, XXXXX, take thee, YYYYY, to be my wedded wife/husband.”

Or

“I, XXXXX, take you, YYYYY, to be my wedded wife/husband.”

The wedding couple will take their seats under the canopy and proceed with the signing of the marriage register followed by the signing of the witnesses.

Then the wedding ceremony continues with the exchange of wedding rings, though it is not mandatory, wedding couples will still choose to go through the whole ceremony as you only get married once! There are no rules to get by on the design of the wedding rings, you can have any designs you want and any size of the diamond as long as you can afford it.
